Understanding Pressure Units
Pressure is defined as Force divided by Area. Different regions and industries favor different units based on historical context.
The standard for automotive tires in the USA and UK. Also common in industrial hydraulics.
The SI unit of pressure. 1 Pa = 1 Newton per Square Meter. It is very small, so we usually use kPa or MPa.
Metric-friendly unit used in meteorology and diving. 1 Bar is roughly equal to atmospheric pressure at sea level.

Real World Pressure Levels
Atmospheric Pressure
Standard pressure at sea level is **101.3 kPa** or **14.7 psi**. Weather reports often use Millibars or Hectopascals.
Tire Pressure
Car tires are typically **30-35 PSI**. Road bike tires can go up to **100 PSI**. Heavy trucks use even higher pressures.
Scuba Diving
Pressure increases by **1 atm** for every 10 meters of water depth. Scuba tanks are filled to **200-300 bar**.
